I just watched the HD-and I'm not willing to buy into Kaufmann-at least not in non-German roles. Yes, he's highly intelligent, good looking, handles himself on stage, has musical style-much to enjoy there-but there remains somethng strange about the voice. Is it really a tenor voice? It's not just the essential darkness, but it never has the brightness, and ease of a traditional tenor. Even his top notes, which he certianly has-now-have little squillo to them. Watching him closely on the screen, he does some odd technique to get those notes above the staff out-almost don't seem integrated with he rest of the voice. And what's all this crooning-celebrated as artistry-but can he sing softly as a tenor? Thus far he doesn't erase memories of earlier tenors, which is my test.

Divine. Kaufmann is a graet actor as well as he poseses a most beautiful voice.

What a stirring performance. But is he a tenor? His voice sounds so dark and deep - although that's not a criticism. It's hauntingly beautiful.

demain dans le vallon (inspiration ) viendra le voyageur .....ca c'est dommage pour l'élégance et le phrasé non ?pourquoi couper cette phrase qui avance comme un ruisseau a travers le vallon justement en plus c'est lourrrrrrrd .... Jonas ??, pourquoi ??? moi qui t'adore d habitude

Peut etre devrait il mourrir si il n'a plus d'air par accident... au lieu de respirer... Je parie que tu fais beaucoup mieux que lui :-)
