Great singing von Kaufmann, he really manages to do a wonderful interpretation of Tito, even if normally ligth tenors do this role... he with his enormous voice, delivers a great aria!!! Bravo Kaufmann!!!!,

Worth waiting for. Thank you! So close to Tauber's visceral but profoundly musical way with Mozart! Some Mozart tenors may have more beautiful voices, or longer breath, or suppler throats, but Tauber's gift at infusing Mozart's writing with red-blooded intensity with no sacrifice of musical values has proven elusive. Kaufmann achieves this! Tito and the original Don Ottavio (with "Il mio tesoro) were written for the same man, and the music of one is a window on the intensity of the other.

Verdad, sus coloraturas no son de las mejores...pero su voz tiene una potencia enorme, difícil de encontrar en tenores Mozartianos...suena como el emperador romano Tito Vespasiano enojado... No se puede comparar a las versiones de Peter Schreier, pero sin duda es uno de los más potentes y viriles para el personaje...¡¡¡Bella Voz...!!!

Many low tenors could have coloratura agility for Mozart roles like Tito, Idomeneo, Belmonte, etc.

no hace bien las coloraturas pero innegablemente suena a EMPERADOR ROMANO enojado , soy de la sincera opinion que una buena voz no debiera limitarse en su repertorio porque su instrumento no pueda hacer todo lo que manda el compositor que la mayor parte de las veces escribia sus obras para un determinado cantante , igualmente me gusta el Bajahzet de Domingo por las mismas razones . . . suena a un Rey . . . .

Die Killer-Arie, Die Königin der Nacht Arie unter den Tenorarien. Ist nicht für einen dramatico wie der Kaufmann ist. Das sieht man an den Koloraturen, die er nicht singen kann. Z.B. erste Arie hat er wunderschön gesungen, und sollte sie in einem Konzert singen, und diese Rolle weglassen. Es gibt wenige die für den Titus geeignet sind , aber es gibt. Jeder soll der beste in seinem Fach bleiben. Jonas, capito, claro, verstanden?

No no no, this role is not for him. I really love his singing in other operas but here he's having a hard time with coloraturas. This is definitely not for his type of voice
