how cool to see you join in! I had also firmly intend to participate, but of course I got a big job a week before , and didn't want to refuse it because of a "private project" - Really masterful, I'm curious where you end up. Feels like Top10, however, every time there are really crazy artists participating, always a surprise. fingers crossed. Really nice!

Yeah was the same for me for the past challenges, so this time when it was about cars I had to join no matter what :-) Let's see, I have spotted some great competition already and I have a feeling that there are many hidden champions who don't go public before the deadline. So, really excited about how it will score as well :)

Really amazing result and thanks for sharing the breakdown! Hope you don't mind me sharing two things I noticed: 1) 2:48 - the car turns straight even though the wheels still point to the right, the wheels should lead and go to the left in order for the car to turn back straight. 2) 2:49 - not sure about that one but it appears the rotor blades of the helicopter are still bent downwards like when they are not rotating. I am no expert on this but would think the blades would straighten out by the spinning force automatically (in the real world).
@JonasNoell
@JonasNoell Жыл бұрын
Hi, I guess you are right on both points you mentioned :-) Thanks for the feedback. I was never really happy with the animation of the car, even there were lots of revisions. The thing you point out makes absolute sense, somehow I didn't notice that. About the rotor I wanted to adress that lateron and then somehow totally forgot about it during production. Now that you mentioned it will forever jump in my face :D In general animation is overall what I think would still need the most finetuning. But I'm no animator so my eye is not really trained on this stuff yet...

@@JonasNoell I just spent hours on my own submission getting the drift right but it´s also not perfect :-). Hopefully I can finish it all in time. I had to animate a helicopter 15 years ago and also noticed this "error" only when it was done. Sorry it jumps in your face now. haha
