Lol, exactly same story here. Doing that party based MMORPG in your own game engine allowed me to skill up very hard and get a freelance programming job, making 6 figures per year for 2 years, which now allows me now to get into 60k debt so I can finance a way smaller game 😂

I’m actually doing it right now. As a freelance senior software engineer you can make 6 figures per year, so it’s totally payable
