The language that looks the most like Jai is Odin. The creator of Odin watched Johns streams and took inspiration. The function definition syntax is the same and Odin also took the implicit context system from Jai. Both languages are spiritually very similar.

In Sanskrit, Jai means "victory", so you're supposedly claiming victory over your code base when Jai is the language of choice. That feeling must have affected the entire design language of this PL.
