the thing is he seems like such a genuine normal nice guy but just happens to know a load of stuff about keyboards aswell

Cool little setup, Jonathan Cain. Thanks for touring us around your keys gig rig!

was trying to get the Separate Ways sound on my E-MU and couldn't quite find the tone. GOT IT NOW! Btw , loved the sounds in the Babys songs. Those were amazing keyboard parts.

Can we see him playing the latest Roland Jupiter affixed vertically to the side of a warehouse in an alley someplace?

Love for the Triton Pro Studio 88, and the Roland Jupiter-80. If There is any man who knows about the 80s synth rock game, it’s Jonathan Cain. Trust this man!

Jay, you are one super-nice, way-talented key-guy!

Great testimony, Jonathan!

Makes an interesting contrast to the mid-80's rigs where there were dozens of keyboards off stage all MIDI'd together.

Yes, now there's sound modules, controllers and soft synths galore-- everything in a single rack (all the slaved and triggered) if so desired other than the actual playable instruments. Could run it all from a single controller and laptop as some do. Love that he has the digital grand piano in his setup!

Except from Tony Banks who just brought everything with him on stage :D

He’s as good as Greg Rolie and an amazing song writer . To me both are equal
@javajuls2u4 ай бұрын
Love them both. Completely different backgrounds in music period and after reading Jonathan's book I know more about him so I understand him a little bit more. You got to respect Greg for leaving when he did to follow his own heart .

he's no Greg Rolie
@javajuls2u4 ай бұрын
You're right about that. His whole history is different than Greg's. They're really not the same kind of musicians they just both ended up in the same position in the same band at different times. Jonathan knows his s*** and he's been playing music since he was a little kid but no he doesn't love the same kind of music that Greg loves

@@pseudowoodo5010 I'm not sure... looks like an old Korg to me. I think I see a 3.5" floppy drive so it's vintage.
