I'm still absolutely baffled that L. Shankar, a classically-trained Indian violinist who has played with other renowned artists like Zappa and Peter Gabriel is here playing violin and doing backup vocals for Jonathan Davis, at the age of 57!! Talk about strange bedfellows. And he's so into it too! How many classically-trained world musicians from the 70s who were brought up with very different styles of music would be this into a genre of music that only arose 20 years later? It's always so refreshing to see older musicians be this open-minded. His contributions to the Queen of the Damned soundtrack made the songs sound so much more than just average nu-metal, and it shines through even more here.

Sometimes it depends on who you know and can work with. For example-Metellica and their double live S and M done with a orchestra where one did not overstep the other-a good symmetry. Jonathon Davis's dad used to be a musician who played with Buck Owens and Frank Zapa as a keyboardist.

Totally, the arrangement of the music is fascinating. before people can go off and talk shitt about Nu Metal, that it's just loud and distortion, this performance proves them wrong. It's actually EXTREMELY light in guitar....It's mostly Jon's amazing voice, Piano, Cello, Analog Bass, and Violin dominate the sound. It works brilliantly.

This man is an absolute gift from the heavens! I never get tired of watching him perform and what a joy to see him just evolve and grow over all these years! As fans we’re so lucky he chose to be sober-it kept his voice in great condition. Every time he sings 4U...Chills listening and watching him perform Forsaken!!! Alone I Break is one of my personal faves and I love it means so much to him too...In August 2019 my cousin(and fellow FREAK) got tix for us to see Korn for my birthday-25 years since we first heard “ARE YOU READY” and it changed us forever! Just a few weeks before the concert she died suddenly and left an endless black nothing(I lost my cousin in the same way he lost his wife) and just a couple months later I was listening to The Nothing. He has no idea how therapeutic and freeing his music and lyrics have helped me. She’d always tease me I only married my husband 17 years ago to have my own John Davis(his real name lol). Now it’s 26 years later and I’ll be watching the virtual concert 4/24/21 and I will be rocking with my cousin and I hope Jonathan and Korn keeps going forever! Lily White-I should’ve posted this long ago-THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS! Losing those most important to us shouldn’t make this mean so much more now, but it does! STILL A FREAK🖤 KORN FOREVER🖤

What a cathartic concert! I have been listening to this daily for 6 days now. 12yrs sober yesterday. Quite a fucking Beautiful Chaos! 🎭 Been resonating with the emotional release in their lyrics & instruments. It is helping me to purge old outdated shit I don't need anymore. That stuff that keeps me stuck. So I can move forward with my life. That fucking gutteral, Shamanic & primal scream in that song 'just want to laugh again.' I feel his depth of honoring pain & the releasing of it in that scream! His entire being was emersed in that shit! Fucking Incredible! Must have been insane to witness that from the front row! I wish I could scream & move my body like he does in that chair! So damn provoking! He is a Warrior on a deep healing journey. I am too...💞🙏🎭 This is the best fucking show I have ever seen. So that's how those songs are supposed to sound originally. Impressive, simply amazing. And some people say nu metal ain't good enough.

I forgot how much I love korns music and just made me love how much Jonathan is enjoying himself to be doing something different and getting all the same love as he as always got from the real fans of korn! I still remember the first time I ever seen the video and heard about the band korn, it was blind and they were all wearing Adidas jump suits and it was fucking new and awesome to see

Because lots of people (in general) have very bad taste of music. JD/Korn is not very popular because of this reason.

For those who recognize, it’s Queen of the Damned songs from the movie. And for those who REALLY don’t know, ladies and gentlemen, meet Johnathan Davis, lead singer of Korn! He represented a music movement that happened in the late 90’s, some know it as Nu-Metal. Korn is getting some newer respect these days. As usually happens to deserving musicians who still inspired in their time, yet seem to gain momentum as the years pass. In other words…..LEGENDS.
