Hello from Okinawa, Japan! We have the same coffee cup from Alaska! We lived there for 3 years before moving to Japan. We’ve never been to this area of Florida. We will have to explore when we head that way! Give Bo an extra treat for us. Thanks for sharing!

Jonathon Dickinson is also home to the very endangered Florida Scrub Jay. They are a beautiful blue and gray bird with a friendly attitude! I wonder if you had a chance to see them.

No... heard they were there but we never saw them
@vickirogerson1794 жыл бұрын
They require very specific habitat, and it’s good to go on one of the guided walks to see them so you know what you’re looking for. I’m sure the next time you go to JD you can ask at check in if there’s a walk scheduled or for them to point you to known areas. I would be happy to meet you and show you if you come back. Happy travels.

This land was home to Camp Murphy from 1942 to 1944, a top secret US Govt radar instruction army base with over 5,000 enlisted men and around 1000 buildings.

Ha Ha, I see someone already let you know you are saying Hobe wrong. When I moved to Florida from NJ in the early 80's my upstairs neighbors took me canoeing at JD state park. All day they scared me telling stories about dogs and small children getting attacked by alligators. When the canoe tipped I went insane. I have not been canoeing since. LOL. My last job before I moved to Gainesville, FL was on A1A near the Jupiter Lighthouse. Ck it out.

If you really want to get high, try Britton Hill in north Florida. It's 345ft above sea level and the highest point in Florida. It's in Lakewood Park, in Lakewood, FL. (Almost in Alabama.) I enjoy your vlogs, especially while visiting FL (where I live). I dream of RVing, but will probably never get to do it!

Second highest point above sea level is located in central FL near Monteverde, FL. It is called Sugar Loaf Mountain. It is 312' above sea level and is actually the tallest hill in FL rising 245' above surounding land.
