Thanks so much! Your son is sweet! We purchased a 40 plus year old popup and I found your channel by searching florida state parks. Thanks so much! Were the bugs bothersome on the riverside? I've read quite a few reviews that complained about biting insects.

Steve Orner it really depends on how much rain the park receives. The river area can stay pretty wet in certain spots which leads to more mosquitoes. We use 2 Thermacell Backpacker models along with a product called Sunsect (sunscreen & mosquito repellent). Thanks for watching! The best loop in the park is the site you are camping in........the hardest part is getting off your strato-lounger just get out there and enjoy JD park.

neither side has any real benefits , no water views and no trees , but at least it does have more mosquitos then any repelant can save you from LOL

I think the biggest benefit to us is that the park’s location is close to our family. But the full hookup loop is a great benefit!
