The campground has changed their booking and payment options. Now you reserve online at campspot. The price has changed to $35/night with a weekly discount making it $25/night or $175 for the week. I still love this campground, but wanted to update the price so you won't be too disappointed.

hey, mine isnt working, i followed your instructions to a tee and all I can hear is the sound of the motor . The troubleshoot on the site says I need to remove the base and install the belt which I assume is the steel zip cord type thing that it came with. how and where do I install it?
@JouppiOutdoors
@JouppiOutdoors 6 күн бұрын
There should be a removable access panel on the rear of the washer held in place with screws. If you remove that door, you can see the motor, pulley, and belt. Just loop the belt back on the pulley and make sure the motor bolts are tight and you should be good to go.

Great presentation. You stated that the tank was ABS. So many are polyethelene (hdpe) . My question is, are you sure on the material. ABS is known to be a rigid material and HDPE has flexibility. The reason I ask, is I have a polyethelene tank with a small hole that is a nightmare to get to. Understandably I do not want to patch and fail if your method won't hold. Thanks again for a great video.
@JouppiOutdoors

All the info I could find indicated the tank was ABS plastic, although there was mixed info on this. Ultimately, I researched if fiberglass would adhere to plastic water tanks and found people having great success repairing all types of plastic…so I went for it and it is still holding strong.

Not to my knowledge, the water has to be heated as it moves through the tubes of the heater. Propane is the fastest way to achieve that. Thanks for watching!

I have this washer, just got it . Your video is the best instructions! What do you do for lint on the clothes? I shake them outside, but some doesn't come off. Also I put a swimming pool sock on the end of the drain hose with a rubber band to catch lint in my RV shower. It catches quite a bit.

Does jerking the hub to remove the bearing and grease seal ever cause any damage to the bearing? Do you need to inspect the bearings for heat damage, scoring or scratches? Some say the bearing needs to be cleaned before repacking, you just pushed out the old grease?
@JouppiOutdoors
@JouppiOutdoors 6 күн бұрын
I’ve never damaged a bearing doing this, but have since bought a seal remover. If there’s no dirt or debris in the old grease, I just push it out with the new grease. Again, I’ve packed numerous bearings on vehicles and trailers this way and never had an issue. Cleaning the old grease out is not a bad idea, especially if it gives you peace of mind.

You almost lost me, 33 second intro on KZbin is way too long! Look at your nerd stats, I would guess that you lost a whole chunk of your audience in that first 33 seconds. It's helpful to get constructive feedback along with the good feedback.

That was a gracious response and you just earned my subscription. I used to edit videos, a good example to keep the audience hooked in that crucial first 20 seconds: this is (your name or channel), thanks for stopping by, please like, comment, and subscribe. Now let's get into it! 5-10 seconds intro is tolerated, but again, you might lose people. Most people happening on your channel are likely frustrated with something breaking on their RV and could care less about anything else, they just want to know how to fix it. I never really understood why there needs to be an intro, 99% of any audience is not going to pay attention to that. I hope that helps and you grow a big audience with the big paycheck from KZbin ad revenue! 🎉🎉🎉 @@JouppiOutdoors

Why don't you bypass the converter completely, and run your inverter directly to the breaker box for ac,and jump your DC directly to the batteries, most converters are inefficient anyway, also if your inverter doesn't charge batteries you can add a 80 amp charger and run it to your generator 😊

Vaseline or other petroleum products should never be used on rubber or neoprene objects. It can deteriorate the rubber or neoprene very rapidly. The correct lube to use is a silicone based lubricant, which comes with or without Teflon

Why didn’t you grease the spindle? There’s a zerk nipple on the end of the axle, but you didn’t add grease. It’s there for a reason. You just have the bearings packed. Please articulate.
@JouppiOutdoors
@JouppiOutdoors 20 күн бұрын
Great question! The EZ Lube axle works by pumping grease through the spindle, rear bearing, then fills the drum hub and forces grease through the front bearing. This process relies on the grease seal holding the pressure of the grease you are pumping in through the zerk. Should the grease seal fail (which is likely) you wouldn’t know it until your brake drum was filled with grease resulting in the need to pull the drum AND replace the brake shoes depending on the extent of damage from a drum full of grease. This way, I know the bearings are good, packed properly, and the seal is new. Bottom line, the EZ lube axle is a great concept, but in reality, not necessarily effective.

I've done this 3 times on our Solitude. And once replacing the leaf springs. The more you do it the faster and more efficient you get. I always use a impact socket over the wet bolt head and grease zerk fitting and tap it into the frame hanger so the bolt head is flush with the hanger. then put the nut on and snug it. Trying to use the wet bolt nut to pull the knurled end of the bolt into the hanger you run the risk of stripping out the bolt threads or the nut. Just make sure the shoulder of the wet bolt sticks all the way through the hanger, and the bolt shoulder ends up flush or slightly sticking through the hanger on the opposite side. The wet bolt nut actually torques up against the bolt shoulder and not the frame hanger itself totally. This allows the the equalizer or leaf spring to rotate around the wet bolts and not be too tight to they can't rotate. With installing new overslung leaf springs, in other words the leaf spring is on top of the axle, as long as the bottom leaf spring tie bolt with shoulder fits snug in the axle perch hole, the leaf spring can not be adjusted forward or aft or right or left on the axle perch, and the leaf spring will align when you attach the frame hanger wet bolt and the shackles and nuts. That is if the axle perch hole is still in good shape and not elongated or damaged. If you get new leaf springs that fit sloppy in the axle perch locating hole they are bad cheap quality, they are using too small of tie bolts or not using a shoulder locator of the proper size on the tie bolt. Most leaf spring tie bolts are only grade 2 bolts. Leave the axle Ubolts just snug until you get the leaf spring attached to the new equalizer and the new wet bolt in the frame hanger. This ensures the leaf spring with be straight and align. Then final torque the Ubolt nuts. Recheck Ubolt torque after a few miles and retorque to spec. I have heard it said, The idea of putting the wet bolt grease zerk fitting on the inside of the frame is so if you have a tire blow, it won't be so easy to snap off the zerk fitting from flying rubber. Also if in the rare event that the wet bolt nut come off and the bolts falls out, or if the wet bolt breaks and falls out, you wont run over the bolt with the tire and possibly puncture the tire.

My mom gave me the old school one, it was old and metal but awesome! I lived in the country with a baby (single mom), no running water or anything just hydro. It did all our clothes and they were practically dry after the spin cycle! One thing I did to save water, and another reason I love these is I took the hose and fed it back into the wash side to recycle the spin rinse water, to use for the second wash load. I will get one for sure for my future van build. ( I hate laundromats lol)
