Thank you soooo much for posting this! It is wonderful to see Mr. Frid as himself. By all accounts he was one of the nicest people you could want to know. I never will but videos like this help me feel like I did and this is priceless!! Thank you again, and thank you Mr. Frid for being you and Barnabas!

Wow, he looked wonderful. I’m always a bit surprised that he doesn’t sound like Barnabas. What an amazing actor he was. Love, love, love. Thank you for posting this. What a treat! I’ve never felt so much love for an actor.

He seems very gracious. I watched DS when I was little, and now am watching them again disk-by-disk from Netflix. Love it!

I just adore Jonathan Frid. I was one of those who ran home after school to watch with my Mom. This is when I was introduced to the art of “ ironing” LOL. I am currently binge watching from the beginning. On season 19. I am having soooo much fun. This truly was an excellent soap opera. Brings back a lot of memories.(I am 68)

Thanks for the rare footage of Frid, who at times has shied away from such publicity. I'm glad he appeared at the DS convention this year. And I'm thrilled Depp is the new Barnabas!

Wow...I missed it by 6 years, I was born in 88, lol! But this is really cool; my Mother got me into Dark Shadows, so I find it very neat when people upload things they have with Mr.Frid and other cast members in it. So *that*'s what 8mm film looks like! Even cooler! Thanks for sharing! :)

I feel blessed to watch it! Thanks so much for sharing. Now all you need are the subtitles..."I don't sing or dance.", is all I could make out. Frid is great as a public speaker, though. Nice suit.

where did you find this footage? I was working there and honestly can't remember this ever happening there in 1982. What's worse, I was a huge fan of the show too. Can't believe I actually missed this. Must have been on my day off, figures.

I love Jonathan. Good to see this but I wish the sound was better hard to understand what he was saying except a bit here and there.

I do wonder, did Johnny Frid get any dancing in while he was there. Did he get his "Hustle" on, or did the "James Brown Split"? Or was he one of those old-fashioned guys and got a lucky to traipse the floor with him in the Tango? Is there any footage? Or is he an officiando of one of those french dances where the man and woman abuse each other in their choreography, like did he use that wolf cane to crane his partner around the neck and drag her across the dance floor foot loose-style?

Oh I remember this place The Magique Disco Gay Nightclub from back in the 80's Louis Edmonds said he took Frid there a couple of times for drinks and enjoyed the dancing crowd there. Not a great sound system though. I wonder if the nightclub is still there.
