I think that he was preparing for a brawl. Let me elaboreate; the superlek vs rodrang fight was a complete technical brawl with endurance and grit that was a determining factor. Haggerty probably didnt want to end up in such a situation hence his rush to knowck superlek out. I think superlek knew that haggerty would implement su h a plan and prepared accordingly. I met Haggerty outside my fight gym, he looks the same but different in person. Super nice guy. I was coming out from my bjj session seeing this guy holding up a belt showing two of his mates, i kinda shrugged it off till i saw it said One Championship on it, then i started staring and i forgot his name in the moment so all i could say was "omg!! You're-you're-" thankfully he just said yea i am with a smile so i didnt have to get embarrassed lmao. I was too shy to ask for a photo so i asked to shake his hand and ran off after hahaha, great guy, hope he comes back from this loss

Just such a shame he rushed in on superlek and took the unnecessary elbow 49s in the 1st round to lose the title. I hope he learned the big lesson. It is the cut-down elbow to the temple. In Muay Thai, we call it "ปักศาแหวกรัง." Basically, you slip the right hand and throw right cut-down elbow. Superlek is the best p4p MT fighter now.

I dont know if you have responded to this question already, but what do you think about the possible fact that her style might be derived from early 2000s breaking from crews like style elements, originality stands alone, freakshow, circus runaways, knuckleheads etc etc? Many breakers from that era have danced similar styles and are part of the breaking community that paved the way for the next gens after that. Profo from floor gangs spoke about that specific era. It's an era, I grew up watching first hand. I felt watching her she was obviously not up to snuff with the rest of the competition and that has caused uproar enough to make it so that others were overshadowed by her performance. But in my eyes, while comedic to a certain degree, she was breaking. And I feel a lot of people outside of breaking communities really going at her saying she isnt a bgirl.
