I find it interesting they only used the manga version for the shoulders and never the anime's shoulder pads.

Inwas going to call you a buffoon, a silly goose, a retard, because the anime came out after. But it didnt. I was sure it did but the anime predates the manga. I think the initial game was for the manga with interest supplied by the anime. But R is for the anime almost exclusively. They wont reference or add scenes cut from the manga because they have revised the story. Even with all the call backs to covers, they use covers of the modern releases. They probably wouldnt do the shoulder pads because people dont appreciate Jonathan
