Jonathan Lethem & Raymond Pettibon

11/21/2013---Jonathan Lethem, the Roy E. Disney Professor of Creative Writing at Pomona College, is the critically acclaimed author of "Motherless Brooklyn," "The Fortress of Solitude," "Chronic City," and "Dissident Gardens". He recently collaborated with Raymond Pettibon on a monographic survey of the artist's work, which embraces a spectrums of American "high" and "low" culture, from the deviations of marginal youth to art history, literature, sports, religion, politics, and sexuality.

I can't help smiling at the comments for this upload, and especially at myself 😊 Our attention span has decreased radically in the last decades due to our online brains' highly active neurotransmitter dopamine making us impatient and nervous when encountered with a contemplative and thoughtful person managing impulse control instead of waffling hastily and ill-considered to keep silence and immersion at bay. Maybe Raymond Pettibon in the online world is an anachronism!
