Very inspiring. I just ordered my first laser printer. I experimented with solvent transfer when I was in art school. Some of the paintings I did in the late 70's are still displayed in a couple relatives houses. But I wonder just how permanent the inks are for longer times.

I loved your work!! It is beautiful, thank you so much for sharing. I have one question though, the small pieces of the pictures.... why is that? Because you wanted to try something different? Or is it just because you have to transfer little by little with the solvent?

(Answer from Jonathan) "Two reasons. The first is aesthetic and it’s because I enjoy the sort of tesserae look of fragments. I don’t know why. The second is practical and, as the questioner assumes, yes, you do have to do it little by little because as acetone evaporates so quickly it is almost impossible to transfer large areas successfully."
