My current understanding is that a minority of Persians are for theocracy. That minority loves the Islamic regime and their crackdowns on women, or they believe that the government isn't doing enough executions and killing citizens for various forms of blasphemy. The majority, according to estimates by Armin Navabi of Atheist Republic (Iranian in Canada) and Harris Sultan (Pakistani in Australia) are resisting Sharia and some quietly going atheist. They don't have the POWER to fight the IRGC with their bare hands and overthrow the regime. Concur? No?

I have actually watched that particular episode and the conversation between Harris Sultan and Mr Navabi which you are referring to. I clearly recall that part of the conversation where Harris Sultan asks Mr Nawabi about how popular the Islamic regime is among its population. Mr Nawabi replied by saying that, those who support the regime claim that the majority of the population is with it. Whereas those who oppose it claim that the majority is against it. Mr Nawabi continues, that in his considered opinion nobody knows the answer to that question, and that it is very hard to ascertain one way to the other. I was quite impressed by his honest and objective analysis in response to that question. Especially given the fact that Mr Nawabi is an outspoken activist and critic of the Islamic regime, and is very active on the social media. I would encourage you to rewatch that podcast as you appear to have misheard Mr Nawabi.

Many well informed analysts believe that it’s more of an alliance than a proxy relationship between these several militias and Iran. That is to say that these various militias in the Middle East aligned with Iran are quite autonomous in their operations. Iran on its part provides weapons and ammunition, technical know how and training if required. Although there is a level of cooperation, consultation and mutual respect between the various parties who form the so called “Axis Of Resistance” on a broader level, it’s not a master - slave relationship as the western media likes to portray it as. A good example of a master - slave/proxy relationship would be that of which exists between the NATO block and Ukraine. The United States provides military aid to its allies/dependants. Likewise 🇮🇷does the same on its part. We all know that the 🇮🇱 air force is one the best, most professional, and lethal in the world. Therefore Iran arms its allies in the region with the knowledge that once the 🇮🇱airforce has finished its operations wrecking utter death and destruction, the 🇮🇱 ground troops would come in to play their part. So that once that phase begins, the 🇮🇱 ground troops could be stopped. So in this regard, the weapons provided are from a defensive perspective, as I heard a retired Swiss army colonel say the other day on a channel. He opined that Hezbollah is a defensive organisation created in order to protect the territorial integrity of 🇱🇧given that 🇮🇱 doesn’t have defined borders, and they are subject to expansion. The parties resisting the IDF are of the view that they are defending their land and homes where they have been living for millennias. And thus, their struggle has divine stamp of approval, and if they were to fall in that path, they would be martyrs and go to Heaven. The 🇮🇱 armed forces on the other hand lack that level of conviction generally speaking. The presence of a high level of disbelievers in the 🇮🇱 society might be partly responsible for this attitude, as the Atheists make up around 65% of the 🇮🇱 population.according to a poll conducted by the Ha’aretz. Therefore, the problem facing the fledgling settler outpost is quite a complicated one, as its air force tries to scare the members of the resistance movements of death, who are not afraid of dying. And so any military confrontation between the IDF and the resistance movements results in the reduction of the 🇮🇱 population depending upon the severity of a given confrontation. In conclusion, it is my considered opinion that the only lasting solution to the problems facing the fledgling settler outpost would be to define its borders and give Palestinians their statehood. Once that takes place and the Palestinians are reasonably happy and content, it could potentially open the doors for more and more Muslim countries to entertain the possibility of establishing diplomatic relations with the fledgling settler outpost.
