Jonathan Quick joins The Point NHL Trade Deadline Special to discuss being traded by the Los Angeles Kings to the Columbus Blue Jackets and ending up with the Vegas Golden Knights after another deal. Quick, who won two Stanley Cups in LA, said there were no talks of a move and it caught him off guard a bit.

After he got traded he took the time to say goodbye to all the Kings player and media on the plane and left the Kings with grace. After being traded to Columbus he requested a trade (which was probably going to happen anyway.) A tanking Columbus doesn't have much use for a 37 year old goalie. I have little doubt that he would have showed up if asked too he's anything but a quitter. LA screwed him yet he handled the whole thing with professionalism and respect .

Oh you know he wants to play the Kings as soon as he can after that frickin gut punch out of left field. Mad respect for Quicky and how he held himself in this interview. As a Kings fan I can't begin to tell you the outrage I have for this organization on the way this was handled and I know that at this point its not important but as a fan I would still love to see Quicky retired as a true King the way it should have been done in the first place. As a beer leagues and club hockey goalie Quickie has always marveled me with his style of play. He may not have invented the scorpion save but dang he's perfected it. Watching the epic match-ups between the Kings and my Blackhawks it was some of the best hockey games. I said whoever wins this conference series will win the Cup. Super classy guy and a real professional team guy. Love his compete level. He's earned his day for the HOF.

Very interested to see how this trade pans out. Our goaltenders tend to do quite well behind our defense, so even if Quick has taken a step back in recent years, this team never demands a goalie single handily carries them to wins, so I think he'll fill the role well and make his famous clutch saves when needed, without facing an overwhelming amount of shots against.

Kings fan here. Kings would not have won their 2 cups without Quick. Amazing goalie in his prime, the best. However, things change and teams have to evolve and get better. The Kings needed to shore up the defense and improve, so they did. Best wishes to Quick, except when he plays the Kings.

Quick’s gonna play till the wheels fall off, as it should be. He’s a HOFer, got all the hardware but, getting another contract in the NHL would be his goal not only for playing but, providing.
