wonderful movie, and reaction. Yeah as a fellow introvert I hear you, that first mass gathering of everyone all at once is a shell shock. Which usually ended up with me on the back porch with my dad smoking and cussing about his family an hour later

This is a Christmas Classic to me, has been since it came out. To round out my top 5 must-watch at Christmas time would be : "It's A Wonderful Life" , "Elf" and "The Grinch That Stole Christmas" (Original Animated) - All classics, but to round it out, X-Files Season 6 Episode 6 - "The Ghost that Stole Christmas" - it really gets me in the Christmas spirit.

"You surprised?" "Surprised, Eddie? If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised than I am right now." Merry Christmas! ✝️ 🙏 🎄 🎁 Fun Fact: Clark (Chevy Chase) uses thirty words to describe his boss. Final Bow Fact: Final film of Mae Questel, whose film career began in 1930, as the voice of Betty Boop. Casting Notes Fact: Former National Lampoon group member Nicholas Guest, who plays Todd, is brother to actor and former Lampoon and SNL actor Christopher Guest. What Script Fact: Beverly D'Angelo improvised grabbing Chevy Chase's crotch when the SWAT team held up the house. She later said she did it on only one take, on the off chance it could make the film's final cut, which is what happened. Location Location Fact: The house in which the neighbors, Todd (Nicholas Guest) and Margo (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), live in is the same house where the Murtaugh family lived in all four Lethal Weapon movies. The houses on this street are on the Warner Brothers backlot. Signature Joke Fact: After Clark Griswold unsuccessfully attempts to demonstrate his handiwork with the house Christmas lights to his family, he asks Rusty (Johnny Galecki) to help him check all the light bulbs again. Rusty looks at his bare wrist, pretending to have a watch, and excuses himself. Looking at a bare wrist and pretending to have a watch is one of Chevy Chase's trademark gags.

Great reaction Jonathan like always i love this movie, i always laugh so hard when i see this movie and that quote "Hallelujah! Holy sh*t! Where's the Tylenol?" Omg its hillarious, you should react to the others movies. National Lampoon's Vacation, National Lampoon's Vacation, Vegas Vacation, and Vacation (2015 reboot/sequel focusing on the son and his family. There are some fun-facts about this classic. The Griswolds’ neighbor’s house is the same house Murtaugh and his family lived in all the Lethal Weapon movies. The houses on this street are on the Warner Brothers Studios back lot. The house front from Bewitched and The New Gidget appears in the home movie that Clark is watching in the attic. In the scene when the police storm into the Griswolds’ house, the song “Here Comes Santa Claus” sung by Gene Autry is used for the background music. Randy Quaid (cousin Eddie) is the third cousin of Gene Autry. According to Randy Quaid, many of cousin Eddie’s characteristics (most notably the clicking of the tongue) were based off a guy that Quaid knew from when he grew up in Texas years ago who had similar traits. When Clark is in bed trying to read the People Magazine with sticky fingers from the tree sap, the person shown on the cover of the magazine is Producer Matty Simmons. And the scene where the cat bites on the Christmas lights cord and gets electrocuted was nearly cut from the movie. Prior to the first test screening. the studio execs wanted the scene taken out, fearing that it might offend some viewers, but producer Matty Simmons begged them to leave the scene in, and they eventually gave in to his request. After the first test screening, the test audience had scored the cat electrocution scene as the No. 1 favorite scene throughout the entire movie. Keep up the good work.

Not a fan of reaction, but like the movie. Sounds like trying to fit your ideas if what is to happen = square peg into round hole. It is to be a comedy, so just stay quiet or laugh and enjoy to the end. Do not try to analyze things so much! Just watch the goofball movie.....

Hi Jonathan!😊 I would say if you grew up with this film it is probably in your top 5 Christmas films. When you watch the other Vacation films notice how they have new actors for the kids in every film. Even Cousin Eddie's kids are different. My top 5 are probably "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946), "Miracle on 34th Street" (1947), "Elf" (2003), "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993), and this film. Although not films the Rankin & Bass animated Christmas specials like "Frosty the Snowman" (1969) and "Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer" (1964) are still great. Fun fact: the animation for these specials were actually made in Japan. Great reactions to one of the few Christmas films you have missed, Jonathan!!!🎬👏👏👏👏

1. Clark's boss is played by Brian-Doyle-Murry (Bill Murry's brother) calls him greaseball and various names before he get's it right at the end. 2. GOOF: The lights outside the attic window don't match the pattern with the rest of the house. 3. My favorite part is when Ellen pulls the chain on the trap door. 🤣🤣 4. Mae Questel played Aunt Bethany. She was the original Betty Boop and Olive Oyl, This was her last gig.😇 5. In the big rant scene the other actors had Chevy's lines written on placards so he wouldn't get his lines out of order. 6. Living next door to them must be kind of like living next door to the Bundys. 7. Fun fact; Chase actually hurt his hand karate chopping the reindeer. 8. Clark's boss is Brian-Doyle-Murphy (Bill Murry's brother) calls him greaseball when he drops off his gift.🤣 He doesn't get his name right until the end. 9. Ellen is played by Beverly DeAngelo. She also played in "Every Which way but Loose" with Clint Eastwood and in "Hair". EWWBL would be a great first-time share but "Hair" would give you copywrite issues. Finally, she has a couple of kids with Al Pacino. I like her better than the sales girl.😍😋🥰 10. This IS my Christmas movie every year 11. Fun fact: This is the only Vacation where Audrey is older than Rusty. 12. Clark is going to need that 20% bonus to repair the house.🥺 13. My picks in order: Christmas, Vacation, European and finally Last Wages.
