Worst decision a team can make. But with a rookie QB, a 3 year deal is probably perfect

Oh this is going to end up as a bad move for the Colts. 3 years from now they still won't be winning. Smart teams put that 14 mil a year into things like O and D lines, pass rush, QBs. Not RBs who have a large part of their production on the O-Line.

The colts were probably worried about his mileage between college and pros, with this being the first time he was really hurt. They may have come to a point after his rehab and seeing him in practice to offer the extension.

@elliswilliams1050 Жыл бұрын
I strongly disagree. He's had a year+ long lingering injury and no team including the Colts can be so certain he'll be back to his old self when he starts again. He's lucky he got paid at all, I guess the Colts cared enough about their relationship with JT if they're willing to take a risk on him.

Why? Every statistical measure on impact to the game versus average replacement says do not pay RBs. I mean just look at the contracts for the RBs on the last 10 SB winners.
@NRB_75 Жыл бұрын
@brianlevine249 I am kinda second guessing my "well deserved" especially the way Moss is responding with Minshew under center. I think the team looks more sound and comfortable with Minshew. I agree with your response though. I think out of the 10 maybe the highest paid would have been Lynch?

If taylor doeant put up atleast 12k yards and 15 tds over the rest of this season, it will be a complete waste of money.

I genuinely hope he can break the mold of " running backs are only good for 4 years" i doubt it and fully expect him to grt hurt a few more times in the next 3 years. But just being honest hope he can break it. But like its jacked up that running backs take the most punishment on offense hands down besides lineman. And yet nobody wants to pay em. Like theyre literally destroying their body for you. Most running backs elite or not cna barely jog once they retire because they destroyed their legs for the game.... you gotta pay em

I'm somewhat in agreement with this. Would have loved to see him running angry lol. The only risk is that he finishes the season looking amazing, then they'd have to pay more than they ended up paying.
@High5748 Жыл бұрын
Before the season started and after his hold out I would have agreed but I think the Colts have their guy in AR. Let's see what happens, remember how Luck never had a RB? Sometimes you just have to choose a guy and give him the best chance to succeed and I think JT can for AR.
@elliswilliams1050 Жыл бұрын
@@High5748 Yeah, AR is much better off having JT. Their synergy could be a catalyst for both players to end up having some crazy good stats by the end of the year.
