If anything, that means even more that fans and media should shut up when teams and players/agents are negotiating because we only know what they want us to know. If the Colts ultimately held out & Moss maintains his production, Ballard wins despite the unfair criticism. But now that Ballard pays up anyways, his decision is being questioned. @@Marstardon-

1.) Most teams use a committee nowadays 2.) Moss was 3rd in rushing yards, but it was a small sample size 3.) Why would you sign and trade? Have you not seen the open market value for RB was minimal 4.) They both have had injury after injuries, so it saves them

As a Colts fan the reason we re-signed Taylor is to have a explosive backfield like Cleveland had with Chubb-Hunt so since we are a run heavy team we now have 2 dynamic RB's (Taylor-Moss) that can run all over the field so they'll both have success especially when Richardson gets back

I don't think the Colts are smart enough, but yes, SAS is right. No one wanted to give the Colts equal value for Taylor. Now by paying him, they have said they value him, so other teams will look at it different in trade talks and in him having a signed deal. And to be honest, it's not a huge deal, it's in line with how backs are being valued now.

The deal makes sense, if you are going to prioritize running the rock, going forward Now, if Taylor gets hurt, you have a capable backup, who doesn't cost you anything. You can bring Moss in to spell Taylor during the game, and you don't lose much. What you can't do is pay 2 RBs. Hopefully, these RBs will keep Richardson from running, because he doesn't seem very durable.🤕

I think it's more of a situation of the Colts actually have a chance to make the playoffs, so need all hands on deck and worry about the rest later. This team is better with Moss and a happy JT than just with Moss.

I don’t think it’s a bad idea! It could be a Hunt and Chubb situation! Since Richardson keeps getting hurt, you could totally pick apart defenses with Taylor and Moss as a duo! That would be scary!

that would be dumb Jim Irsay. Maybe smart Jim Irsay said "Zach Moss got injured in camp and missed the start of the season and JT was injured most of last season, so let's keep our depth at the RB position."

Why he's a terrible owner. Taylor's value couldn't be lower. The club had all the cards and new what the other players cards were, a losing hand. But seeing it the team folded with a can't lose winning hand. Wow.

The RB spot is obsolete due to all the NFL rule changes over the last ten years to the point that it is a few rules from flag football. That said the value of the position has lowered.

THIS IS HOW the running backs can get paid. A RB by commitee has been the way to go. Developing two backs, getting rid of one who is still a developed rb with experience (Bears, Lions, SF, Bills, NE, u name it, this is how the RBs can make $$ hopefully

If I was Jonathan Taylor, I would have wanted to play for the Eagles. If the Eagles get a good run game, open up play action, Jalen Hurts will look a lot better.

@@princecheck11lol prisoner of the moment means reacting to what just happened. He is in his prime and had an off year last year because he hurt his ankle. That’s not an injury that a player will be affected by a year later and the Colts know that too. That’s why they paid him like an elite rb.

I think it’s more about saving face than to just pay him. When you have two talented players on the same team and position, it’s best that you keep one happy and the other one can be happy too if you pay them a bit more than they are worth. Zach just needs PT to improve his value and so he’s ready when the Colts give JT the send off. That’s all there is to it.

I dont get it, the media for the last two months was screaming at the Colts to give him a contract and now that they did they say we shouldn't? Real fans and "Jim" have said it before you dont have to have the best back in the league to win. Proven by Moss' play this year.
