I wrote to NBC everytime they called Judea and Samaria " the occupied West Bank". Maybe petitions by churches and synagogue can be initiated and sent to all the MSM channels. And of course people can write letters. The more they get, the more they may have to consider it.

History is now on my mind. History is always on my Jewish mind. For some reason, I, an American, living mostly American reality, have this distant historical moment on my mind. Sunday, December 13, 1981. The population of a country somewhere in the middle of Europe wakes up to .... silence. Radio is silent, TV is silent. The silence after months of the noise of excitement, then noise of provocations, subversion, manipulation, etc. is deafening. It is interrupted at noon by the voice of the leader and in some places by .the sound of .. tanks. The martial law in Poland was mild for a number of reasons: - Polish thugs were second class thugs - just the weak puppets - the masters next door were losing power - a Pole was in the Vatican - Reagan was in the WH Not everyone is that lucky.

PEACE TREATIES are valuable, UNDOUBTEDLY, but even if SAUDI ARABIA AND ISRAEL don't sign a peace treaty, is their any chance that they may have a """"FRIENDSHIP ALLIANCE""": i.e. a relationship of mutual affection between people who respect the VALUES of the other/ watch one another's backs, mutual care and concern, with both parties contributing to the well-being of the other, considering that they are NEIGHBOURS ?. FRIENDSHIP is a stronger mutual bond than an "acquaintance" or "association", which a treaty seems to be. ""PEACE TREATIES"" hang the idea of potential war, in the air like a sword !

International law is clear. The principle "Uti Possidetis Juris" dictates that the borders of the State of Israel are the same as the borders of Mandatory Palestine. Israel has only to assert the sovereignty that is its right. Your repetitious allusion to the annexation of area C is non-sequitur. The Palestine Arabs can be granted "self-determination" through autonomy with devolution precisely the same way the Scots achieved self-determination within the sovereign territory of the United Kingdom.

Turkey will control large parts of Syria within one or two years in connivance with Iran and Iraq for sure but whether ailing Erdogan will do it I am not sure . I expect ergodan successors to be more active in this regards whether civilian or military

Jonathan, I usually agree with your comments, but today, not on Syria. Here is why. Aid can be money or it can be understanding. I agree the new government in Syria is an unknown. However, this makes presenting understanding so important a gift. For example, would the new government of Syria be willing to listen to a plan for a Federal Republic? Your comments on Iraq and Afghanistan in comparison to Syria is flawed. Afghanistan has limited literate people and no exports but opium. It was never a country capable of Nation Building. Iraq has a literate population and has the resources to find Nation Building. President Obama pissed this away for political reasons. Syria also has a literate population AND some limited export potential. Its location is also strategic. If nothing is attempted, it will become part of Türkiye. Therefore, doing nothing is NOT an option. As a US Military Leader (Brigade MI Officer), I usually back plan from end state to D-Day. My Syria ideal is a 3 State Federal Republic. It would include: a Sunni State, an Alawite State, and a Kurdish State. It could include additional Kurdish and Sunni States from Iraq if successful. I would also incorporate part of Lebanon, Greater Tripoli, into Syria’s Sunni State. Compensating for this additional territory, part of the Bekkah Valley and southwestern Syria would become a Druze State, their Homeland. Ideally, the Shia of southern Lebanon would be expelled to Shia Arab Iraq. I would then help Christians from both Syria and Iraq move to southern Lebanon. You might ask how these ideas could be implemented. Well, if Israel clears out the area south of the Litani River, there might be enough Christians in refugee camps in Türkiye and Jordan to populate this area with Israeli protection. Likewise, if Christians from Aleppo are persecuted in Syria, they might find a home in Beirut and in southern Lebanon until their numbers can displace the Shia. Of course, Israeli arms would help. The other parts of my end state are already taking shape, including a Druze Homeland State. Both Israel and Jordan need a Druze buffer State. These ideas could happen under President Trump because they minimize US direct involvement yet achieve US long term goals. They also allow the local people to share in their country’s wealth.

Israel owns Judea Samaria and Gaza according to the international convention of uti possidetis juris. this is backed up in the peace agreements with Jordan and with Egypt. this cannot be disputed..

Regarding alleged legal reforms in Israel and agitation connected with it this is just a global process to.limit rights of people limit overseeing administration and trying to put politicians as justices , this is well examplified by UK which changed the way justices were appointed or in every sick USA where not seniors of profession but rather seniors of politics over rule selections of already political appointees , worst examples are sen Kennedy and send Ted Cruz . Regarding thinking that Hamas was encouraged by this to attack , this is unlikely it was Abraham accord background and MBS signals plus late Iranian president Saudi closeness ushered in by Chinese which forced Sinwar to take the initiative and become a general in the league of saladin and Khalid bin Al waleed in Islamic history , though politically it was mistake for his lot .
