Thanks for watching. This is the most historical tough match victory against very strong Japaneses Judoka Yamamoto for USA Judo Cadet Category. The USA's first ever Cadet world champion. Please leave comments and make sure to subscribe 👍

Having had the pleasure of facing young Johanthan on the mat I can say it is not only well deserved, but well earned as well.

Great match, congrats. But that near bow and arrow choke from Yamamoto was nice… Ref should have let it go a bit longer.

It is really big success and to win with JPN judoka it is briliant success always. Because it doesn't happen often.
Great fight, such a fast seoi nage and nice job staying safe in newaza. Shintaro needs to hide his bias a bit more as a commentator! Will you be going to Canada in November?

I understand everything, of course, if the judge knew his job, a normal judge would have given you two shido from leaving the fight. I wish you success, but I wish Fuku Yamamoto more success).

This is fun to watch, but no ground work? It really ruins the flow to stand up and do it all over again just for a throw.

I don't agree. JPN judoka wanted newaza 2x times (one time he put on osaekomi but he doesn't controll it very good and his opponent works very good in defence). Another newaza doesn't have sence because JPN JPN was losing and would only be wasting time. Because his opponent was well prepared tactically and doesn't allow anything of him.

@@judojudo3808 But for a spectator, it's a bit confusing to watch when half of the time they reset.

Terrible Judo. Diving to the mat to stop getting thrown. Eeeew wash your Gi after that show.
