1957-60 PAF Repro Humbuckers by Wayne

Just had these pickups installed by Wayne on my Gibson 1994 Les Paul Classic!
These are Wayne's 1957-60 PAF Repro Humbuckers!
7.7k for the neck pickup
8.4k for the bridge pickup
Rough cast alnico 4 magnet for neck
Rough cast unoriented alnico 5 magnet for bridge
Vintage correct plastic- CAB Cyano Acetate Butyrate bobbins.
Metallurgy is the same as the original PAF’s, steel slugs, cheesehead screws
Vintage correct braided shielded wire
42AWG plain enamel coil wire vintage spec correct
Vintage correct German nickel silver pickup covers.

Those are really authentic sounding PAF's Jonathan, at least to my ears (which to be honest were not actually in existence fo another four years after the 1960 PAF, but I digress...) I have to say Wayne has done a spectacular job on them, they sound quite different from the originals, but still enable your distinctive tone and clarity to come through, and I could hear the way they responded differently when you "dug into" the strings more, and when you softened your picking. I dare say I will be offering Wayne my deepest respect for such work on Saturday! But Tell him I said how impressed I was. Thanks Jonathan, for tone-chasers like me such pickups are a work of art.

Oh man !! They are amazing. I don’t normally like the neck pickup on an LP especially mushy with a lot of gain, but they sound just wonderful. Really clear on gain. The bridge is sublime. Wayne is a craftsman. Congratulations to Wayne 😊❤️👍👍
