I have never been to that area, but I’ve been to a few places in Kentucky and everyone was extremely friendly to us 😎 More friendly than the area that I now live in. Because I’m not from this area, so people treat you different.

The black wreath on the door is in memory of the judge. Home of RC Cola because the town had a RC Cola bottling plant owned previously by the Ison family. Those were fall decorations not Halloween. Aren’t those mountains gorgeous! In a few weeks the fall color will be vibrant. I’m so glad I found your channel a few weeks ago when you was in Laurel county. It’s unfortunate you came to our area because of horrific circumstances. We have great people in Eastern Kentucky.

Locals are thrilled that numerous investigations are finally underway regarding the long-standing corruption in that small town, which has managed to evade scrutiny for decades. @JeagerMeisterBrown Yes they are wonderful people. I travel a great deal and have went through there many times. But I also used to live in Southern Illinois and would go to Paducah for groceries. A lot of the people both in Kentucky and Illinois have been through difficult times,but they'll feed you even if "they" don't have food. They'll give someone their own shoes. Very sweet people. And yes, I'm absolutely going to keep them in my prayers. Blessings!

I've lived in Central Appalachian region my whole life. Lots of corruption and lots of people are afraid to talk or press questions. We had a KZbinr come to Ironton a couple of years ago that got everyone talking about the corruption in this county and they used unjust lawfare against him.

That wreath on the courthouse door is black so I presume it’s in honor of the judge. I live about an hour and a half from there. I’ve worked up in Letcher. County many many times over the years. There are good people there. I find it impossible to believe the Sheriff just shot the judge without damn good reason. I know if the rumors are true, and I was the sheriff, I can’t say I’d handle things any differently. Just saying…

Are very nice friendly people. You should if you have time drive through some of the small towns. I’m from 1 of these small towns very close to letcher…my Dad worked DOT in Leslie Co. All these small towns have corrupt law, from the police, to the lawyers , including ur judges. The judge was dirty. Ben Fields committed his crimes in the judges chambers 🤔 judge didn’t know? He damn sure did. I do feel for both families, may God bless them. Sheriffs daughter scared out of her wits and a lot of times in these small towns, u deny deny deny. Very easy to hide a body in these mountains. Whitesburg not only county that ur law trades favors. Remember, there is ALWAYS a truth in a rumor. Y’all stay safe cuz these small towns and politics can b very dangerous. And for the citizens that r heartbroken, God bless u and I’ll pray for u. I will also pray that things done in the dark will come to light.

Mchc mountain comprehensive health corporation. Its the administrative building for a bunch of health clinics we have! Thank ya'll for actually showing our town in a good light!!
