I don't know what judges you're dealing with, but a lot of judges are pretty decent and lenient. The ones where I live are at least. I had 3000 in HOT lanes tickets I needed to pay. He brought it down to $300 and didn't even understand why 6 $.50 unpayed tolls were even legally allowed to reach that amount.

The allegation is the Judge was engaging in sexual activity with the Sheriffs underage daughter, the fact the uncle mentioned her seems to slightly point to credibility on that front. I'd love to hear from the Sheriff on his motivations or from the daughter of the Sheriff. If the allegations are true the Sheriff did his job and he did it right, let him get back to work after throwing an award ceremony for him. If it's not the prosecution REALLY needs to get ahead of this rumor otherwise people might show up at the trial in protest en mass. As someone who has been through something similar I'd like to tell you something though. It's inappropriate to demand the victim who's a child make a public statement, your response reminded me of the police who let the pedophile away the night I called the cops because I was afraid to testify. Not going to come at you for it, but you need to think before you post. The prosecutor, the former sheriff/suspect are the ones who should comment on the motivations not a child who if the allegations are true is a victim.
