Oh man, this really bring back memories! Haven't listened to them in a while, but back in about 15 years ago it was one of the main party themes. They are, or were back then anyways, an fantastic live act. If you want to listen to something a little different from "Highwayman" they also had minor hits with "I'm not leaving now" (also from The Storm) and "Memories in blue" (from their second album Skank-a-tronic Punkadelica")

Another one i never really listened to when it was popular, it is legit amazing when you actually take the time to appreciate it, and i'm a bit bummed out that yours seems to be the only reaction of it.

Great reaction to a great song. I saw them live when they did a corporate gig at a company kick-off event back in or around 2010, and I have seen them live at a festival. They were awesome both times and had great energy on stage - both times! I realize a corporate gig might not be the sexiest thing to do as an artist, and to be all in and give your full energy I think say something about the band. They even hung around and had a beer with the crowd afterwards. Cool dudes!

You should watch the movie called "Stockholm Boogie" from 2005. Hoffa, one of the main characters in the movie is played by this singer and Hoffmaestro is doing the soundtrack of course!

Not sure how this works with sarcasm. :) But in this case, I was still in my late clubhopping years when it came out, so this should have left a mark with me if it did leave a mark bigger than a quick charting. And as a bonus, I have in all my life had the radio, mostly P3, constantly on in the background, so it should have penetrated my ears quite a lot. :)

Men det förklaras nog troligast med att Leva livet inte är en direktöversättning av It's my party, så det kunde han ju inte veta på förhand. Jag såg mamma kyssa tomten är däremot en direktöversättning av I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus så det minskar ju risken att den slinker med i Svenska Klassiker. F.ö. har Troll ingen särskild koppling till den låten mer än någon annan. Någon skivbolagsmänniska tog med den på Absolute Christmas men det räcker inte till att göra den till en klassiker.

Swedish classic? Hilarious Have asked many Swedes and no one has heard of them or the song. They are apparently some who operate in the unknown only known by a few who like their music changer. Classics hardly, but more completely unknown to most.
