I know this is off topic, but if you're like me and didn't find this channel until 7 months ago, I HIGHLY suggest that you look at his old videos while waiting for the next new one. I've beenbinge watching because of the damn lockdown. I noticed his motorcycle replicabuild from scratch has comparatively low views....the work he did is freaking awesome. He melted old pistons down to make the custom engine case.....a work of art. He'd never admitit, though . Seriously, do yourself a favor and check it out. 11 videos. Just the tip of the iceberg. Sorry for rambling. Hope you find ot useful and entertaining.

Those SS Wheels bring back memories of my aunt's 1971 or 72 metallic blue Buick Skylark with vinyl top including a factory hand-operated vinyl and cloth sunroof. It had a 350, and an automatic, and it had plenty of power! My aunt was a little old school teacher in tennis shoes, as she liked to call herself, and she loved that car. Of course, she drove it with one foot on the gas and one foot on the brake. I miss her. She was a character.

Wow. Bought a 64 Chevy 11 just like that one - same color, 3 on the tree, with a 6 for 25 bucks in 1971. Stuck a 327-4 from a wrecked '62 wagon in it. Good for laying burners in front of the high school commons. Put some 60's on it and ladder bars. Flex tube exhaust and glass packs. Don't think I had more than 150 into it when I was done. Hi Jon, you did the right thing on those bids. I would not have gone as far as you on the 34. Usually at those auctions people have big ideas and no skills so they over bid and that puts them already upside down on the project. They picture the thing all done but don't realize what it takes to do the job. How many times have you see a car taken apart, sanded on and then left because they ran out of ambition, got lost, or don't have the funds to do it after bidding too high. You didn't fall off the turnip wagon yesterday so you know right where you need to be on this stuff. Everyone watching for a while can see what it takes to fix this stuff. I chucked when Ninna had to catscan the axle retriever tool, she's quite a cat! Keep up the good work!

They can have all the money in the world, when they're shill bidders and have no intention to pay, working with the auctioneer and/or seller. I've dealt with a number of scrap yards over the years, and they've been up there with used car dealers. They came up with that term "automotive recycling" many years ago. There's a few that actually do sell known good parts. As for the rest, if they're selling junk, then they're a junk yard. Games like telling you an engine and transmission were known tested good runners when they weren't, etc, etc.... Not a place I'm trusting with an "auction".
@billg72054 жыл бұрын
@@slippedknot2001 Yep. People who have restored cars understand the principle of starting with a good shell. If that car sold for $3600, then a good shell should easily be worth $7200. At the end of the day, you spend a similar amount if not more, considerable added time and effort, and wish you had started off with a good known shell.
