I know this is like 2 years old but it made me very curious about pre determined destiny to be a fisherman because I was a big athlete when I was younger with baseball I was recruited for college and everything then got hurt, later on I got into MMA and showed promise to fight professionally then got hurt, now at 38 years old (also I hated to fish my whole life) I get addicted to fishing and can’t get enough of it and believe I have learned and advanced greatly in my first year, I would think that I am just passionate at everything I seem to be important but this made me wonder if I was destined to fish lol I sound like a crack pot

I ask my self as well. Most people love of fishing comes from being taken out as a kid by dad/grandpa but in my case I was not. I always had a desire to fish. My parents tell me of times when rain would run down out front of our house and I would grab yarn and a rock and toss it in the puddles. Times when we would go to the river and all my cousins would play in the water and I would be on the shoreline with a line of string with a staple. I can't explain it but I just love it.
