I wish these bit point and click games became a genre like 8 and 16 bit 2d platformers. Imagine Monkey Island 2, Freddy Fish, Pajama Sam and this in 3d. Kind of what I imagine Psychonauts's level design to be like. I had a Freddy Fish 4 demo along with Half Life Uplink on a cd with yellow sun stripes on it and I played it so many times despite it only being 3 areas to go between plus one song that might be the best in the ost

Great time in video gaming. Sometimes the manuals helped, but there was virtually no home internet or FAQs/walkthroughs to check if you got stuck, so you usually pow-wowed with your friends or family (preferably other geeks) or just tried something different. Good times. Graphics may be dated, but they are bad-ass! To this day I still say, in the voice of the tentacle, "I feel like I could...like I could...*TAKE ON THE WORLD!*"

@Charthers when I was 12 me and my Cousin (that was in my age) loved to play this game, in fact it was my very first adventure game and one, if not the, favorite game I have ever played. Are older Cousin introduce it to us and we jade kind of a rule not to use hints from the internet. If we ware to be stuck for very long time on a particular puzzle are older Cousin gave us a really vague hint but most of the game we complete alone and it took us months to comlete it. Even though we played this game long after its release, and we could us the internet it was quite fun experience to have.

I played this game a ton as a kid and LOVED IT. It wasn't until I saw this walk through that I found out you could give back the stamp collection. I always hated that part of the game since I felt so guilty I wrecked his sanity

There's a couple of Easter eggs. If you have the files to Maniac mansion you can put it in a file called Mansion and you can play it by clicking Eds computer. Also they're a couple of references to Monkey Island.

I don't know if you're still looking for an answer after 8 years, but here it is: you can design and paint them traditionally with watercolors or gouache and then take scan them, or create them as a digital painting directly. There are too many software options for this, the most famous are Krita, Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI and Clip Studio Paint.

I wish there was a point and click maker like rpg maker, just allow one to select where you can go, where to click, add a sprite, select which animation to which object by which action. The REAL reason why you have to get rid of Harold in the "Human Show" is that EVEN with the false teeth on the mummy, Harold still wins due to the fact that his teeth are WHITE! In MY judgement, this does NOT make sense because later on, the judges say that there is NO rule that says that the teeth have to be white! It WOULD`VE made more sense to SIMPLY judge according to HOW LONG the smile is maintained! JUST AS the judges mentioned before!

The music is played through a software SoundFont synthesizer, using a SoundFont sound bank named Arachno SoundFont. You can download it from www.arachnosoft.com/main/soundfont.php You can use several software SoundFont synthesizers for this purpose, the ones I would recommend being VirtualMIDISynth (coolsoft.altervista.org/en/virtualmidisynth), and BASSMIDI Driver (or its forks).

I have the triangular box version! I bought it the day it came out on floppy and then a week later the cdrom was out but the guys let me swap it and pay the extra, my mistake was opening it! I'd already completed the floppy version at this point Still in as new condition, I keep it in a cupboard ha ha ha but one day I will put it in a case
