It goes without saying that I will return to the Duke with a proper start-up video, a simplified written procedure, and a deeper dive through it’s systems. It’s a very well modelled aircraft.

Cool airplane and pretty cool flight. The sound after shutdown is the gyro spinning down. As for the battery switch it has 3 positions, you put it in "both" when you thought you were switching to Batt 2. Also, that extra scoop on the right engine is for the A/C. If you turn off the A/C that scoop closes I believe.

Appreciate this video. These addons are just hot of the press. Lovely modelling and attention to detail. Black Square do an excellent job. The sounds are amazing. Just noticed the price from Just Flight, £49.99 gets you the piston and turbine as a bundle. Not sure if I need both, but the option is good for enthusiasts to enjoy. A really first class addon. Thank you.

You have to push the CID button to GPS on the GTN750 for it to capture. It says VLOC still.

Regarding the thrust at idle wouldn't it be prudent to feather the props and lower the condition levers to aid in keeping it under better control in the taxi?

I don't think this aircraft has a "low idle" on the condition levers. You have to use beta range to keep from going too fast.

Premium PMDG price-range territory. Is it as good as a PMDG aircraft? Is it nearly $20 better then FlySimWare's Cessna C414AW?. Seems that if you buy either the Piston or Turbine version to start with and want to get the other one later, you are talking about a total outlay of $96 vs $70 if both purchased together. Just my observations.

I can't say if it's worth it as I'm still mulling over purchasing either the piston or turbine duke (maybe both). What I can say is that it's a bit odd that the price for all Black Square addons is roughly the same for each plane but only 3 are actually modeled from the ground up instead of using default resources. I feel like most of Black Square's planes are a bit overpriced given how much they share with default aircraft. These Dukes are certainly more promising.

@@robbyyant6213 Another question is, will the developer fully support these products (expected at this price) to ensure a smooth free transition to MSFS 2024 for paying customers or will there be a significant delay? Considering everything and the timing, it seems something that should have been stated for all to see.

@@jonbeckett yeah, but its also animated in the electrical system on the iPad. On mine its always grey… as in «not on»…. The piston version has the dedicated switch….

For a Black Square product, you should know by now to at least skim through the manual so you are familiar with the different sections, so when you have a question, you can quickly go read and remedy the issue. This video felt like I was going to buy a car and the salesman had never been in a car before.
