Hi There Lazerbolt, I just found out a method to create flightplans when spawned in and have a better GPS. 1) Install the PMS50 - GTN750. 2) Load in the C130 at airport of your choice. 3) Bring out the GTN750 from the toolbar and use it as normal! Just works like you demonstrated but without the menu hassle and you even have a map! Again thank you so much for your video it really helped, Maybe you could make a video regarding this now ^ Also the autopilot light flashing? Go down to the center pedestal and below the 3 engage switches click "Reset" it should make the autopilot light go away after your AP has been disconnected

Excellent, I'll have to try that GTN750 tip, but your tip for resetting the Autopilot switch is a life saver! Thanks for watching buddy.

I have installed the PMS50 and functioning really good. Also help me alot when i need to direct certain waypoint. For the mode i think the normal mode is like a nav mode. For the selector for nav, it will take input from the flightplan. For the AFF it is the approach mode.

The learning curve for the steam gauge version is pretty high compared to the glass cockpit variant
@LazerboltVids2 ай бұрын
That's true if you are used to having a glass cockpit, but I find easier to glean all the important information quickly by glancing at the large gauges and dials of a steam cockpit. Once you get familiar with navigating a glass display and its menus, its a much better way to go. But let's be honest, EVERY old and modern aircraft flown today would have some kind of GPS installed.

Thank you so much, It would help you if you labeled it MSFS or Captain Sim C130 in the title because I overlooked it many times. Also, Is there any way we can direct to waypoints?
@LazerboltVids4 ай бұрын
Thanks, that's good advice about the title. Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to create a flight plan with waypoints while in the cockpit, you have to do it before each flight.

Awesome! Is there any way to disengage the yellow Autopilot Off warning? This seems to be a thing on almost all aircraft when you disengage it.
@LazerboltVids4 ай бұрын
Yea, it is distracting for sure. Unfortunately the only way I've found to make it go away is to turn your autopilot back on. Not very helpful, I know. Thanks for watching!

Hello, I hope your all having fun. I have V1.1.0 and Content Manager says all is up to date. But I cannot move the dial to NAV. I can have TAC1 / VOR2 / HDG. BUT, if I move to TAC1 make sure NORMAL is selected above and then turn the AP Master to RANGE LOC I do follow the Magenta GPS Line. ILS I can't crack. Do I need to do something else, be able to FORCE an update from CS? I bought through MSFS Store in the big summer sale. I love flying her but there are times it's nice to sit back hit GPS Track and read a great book while the Co-Pilot takes over 😂 Thank you Sir for a great video, I have been following HDG Hold mode but having to constantly move for drift and waypoint changes.
@LazerboltVids4 ай бұрын
Hi Shaun, If you have v1.1.0 then you already have the update, however, you shouldn't actually need the update to do an ILS landing. Just follow these steps: 1. Set Nav1 Radio to the frequency of the ILS localizer of the desired runway 2. AP main ON and Altitude Control ON 3. Make sure you are within 26 miles of your destination airport. Make sure you are under the glide slope 4. Set Radio Beam Coupler Switch to AFF 5. Set Mode Sel Switch to VOR/ILS 1 6. Use Course Set Knob to select the course heading of the desired runway 7. At 20 miles the glide-slope indicator appears on the left side of the artificial horizon. make sure it is above the horizon (indicating that you are under the glide slope) 8. Sit back and enjoy I hope this was helpful, thanks for watching buddy.

My H model only updates to 1.00.2, not 1.1. Thus, my Mode Slect knob will not stop at NAV. Any ideas?
@LazerboltVids2 ай бұрын
Is you purchased the C130 through the in-sim marketplace, check for the update in your content manager, that's where I found it. But, if you purchased it from a website then I would check the help section of that website to see how they handle updates like this. I know this isn't much help, but I couldn't find any other information about it. If you manage to find the update, please let me know how. Thanks for watching

hello, i have a question. normally you have to bring the aircraft to an altitude of about 2500feet / 3500feet to catch the localicer / glideslope. but you have an altitude of 6300feet, is that a fault of this aircraft?
@LazerboltVids3 ай бұрын
Hi Sparrow, you are correct about having an altitude of around 2500-3500 feet to catch the glideslope, but remember that this is altitude ABOVE GROUND. Whitehorse is at an elevation of 2284 feet, so when I came in at 6300 feet, I was only about 4000 above the ground and was still able to catch the glide slope. Admittedly a little high, but it was good enough. Thanks for watching

The new C130s have proper modern navigation and autopilots. I really with that Captain Sim would have done a modern one instead of the outdated one.

I actually prefer the old C130 with the steam gauges. It would be nice if Captain sim released a package that included both old and new variations like they did for FSX, just so people could enjoy both. Thanks for watching

Hi bro, so you know if captain sim is updating this plane regularly? I had Captain Sim C130 on Flight Sim 2004 with a DVD Disc install and never had updates, all you had at the time was the version that came inside the disc. Now I don't know how to buy this plane for MSFS 2020 because it's all digital and need help. Thanks
@LazerboltVids3 ай бұрын
I have to imagine that there will be more updates in this version than there was back in 2004 simply because it's much easier to provide updates for digital content than it is for physical disks. If you're looking to buy the Captain Sim C130 for MSF S2020 I recommend getting it from the in-game marketplace just for the simplicity of having it install and update automatically.
