I recovered this trick now at my 51's and to me, the key is to push the back wheels against the coping as soon as you are reaching it, and bend the knees immediately after. All in a smooth, fluid motion. It's a little push and you will find how much you need with the practice. The front foot will be more towards the pocket of the nose after the landing, but is good, because it will make easier to transfer the weight to it, to clear the coping with the back wheels.

Don't you try to press the nose to clear the back wheels? This is the scary bit for me.

Yeah, I work up to clear the wheels here, on small ramps you can roll them over by un-weighting the back foot, but on steeper ramps it’s best to fully clear the wheels. I’ve got better at the full clear since this vid, it’s more the rocking motion of the board that helps them clear, you can do it without your foot on the nose like the dudes in the 80s did ?!
