Jon: Please consider the Emerald Ash Bore a major threat to the place you love in Maine. I live in Madison, WI. Some time ago I was told our city has lost 80,000 ash trees to this terrible bug. Not only do the trees die, but eventually most have to be cut down. This is a huge problem. Do all you can to reduce their invasion. Stay safe! God Bless!

Hey Jon, they are doing Loon research at Big Lake, so Grand Lake is about 3 feet shorter to allow more water for the Loons. The lower water is making the fishing incredible there. Caught at least 80 largies in the 5 days I visited.

Northern are delicious. Maybe don’t catch cook a musky, but you should definitely try a pike. Got to make sure to bleed them before you fillet though

❤️❤️❤️👍 No limit on them in CT. My all-time favorite fresh fish is bluefish or snapper blues. Baking soda is a great odor-absorber. (It works in cat litter boxes.🤢) I'd wipe the stuff up, spray it with scented cleaner or detergent and baking soda twice.

I live in Iowa and have never caught a yellow perch I’ve caught every bass species here Channel and flathead catfish Pike, Musky, walleye, bluegill, sunfish and crappie along with others but never caught a perch!

Pike through the ice I enjoy eating. Not so much in the summer from what I've tried. I find they're a tad fishy. Catching and eating fish in general in the middle of summer not the biggest fan, compared to the winter including perch walleye trout and pike and burbot(poor man's lobster) fantastic. Buddy and I somehow managed to hook into the same smallie a long time ago so we felt like it may not make it if we released it. So we brought it home and ate it. Honestly way better than what I was expecting lol.

In the UK Pike is our main Apex freshwater Predator, I’m a new subscriber and I’m surprised they grow bigger here. Is that to do with Muskys being the bigger predator in those waters? I’ve binged Jon after the Carl and Alex collars. Awesome channel.

The bloodline is way more predominant on white perch!! I live a mile from lake Erie, I catch both species regularly. Yellow perch is an 8 on the table Fair, white perch a 5!!

White perch is hands down better eating than yellow. you should head to the Washington County area and hit up some of those ponds and lakes great Bass largies and smallies as well as perch and pickrel, and lakers
