Nissan 370z Muffler Delete for ONLY $15 Exhaust Mod!

I was so bored of the quiet stock exhaust and did not want to put hundreds of dollars into a nice aftermarket exhaust. So I went to my local Oreillys and picked up 2 90 degree exhaust pipes and welded them into place. Great mod at a great price. I did this but I also went a step further and took off the res as well and ran one of those straight autozone pipe's too from where the res would be in the exhaust circuit and it is loud as hell and perfect loud too I have no decibel rating in my inspection, but have an emissions inspection. So I'm not even going to mess with the cats because the catalytic converter is responsible for emissions . I don't mind a loud Z because it is my own personal project drift car too 🤣 Nissan Z's are amazing cars. The V6 sounds nice too on them.

I just did this yesterday and it turned out great. I had a coupon and this only cost me 7$. I spent a lot of time getting mine straight and salvaged the hangers from the muffler to stiff it up. Must say this totally beats spending 300 on a axle back if you have a welder..

The factory exhaust isn't any special metal? So just a normal flux core mig welder will get these 90°s on?

trevor bahs that’s what I did and has held up fine. Just three some high heat paint if to try and keep it from rusting

@@TennisMan93 y’a fr a borla axle back is 800$ and you can muffler delete and get it welded for under 200$ at a shop

Can you accomplish the job with just clamping it on as I dont have a welder

@@CorvetteBro it may be possible but it will be pretty hard to get it lined up close to perfect. Also I had to weld the hangers on so idk how you would do that without a welder. I am by no means a welder btw. I went to harbor freight and got the cheapest one they had for a different project so this was maybe my second time welding when I did this. Rather than paying a shop I got a new tool and learned a skill ha

Not for muffler or res. It only comes on when you mess with the cats ( catalytic converter ).

Hey! I just bought a 370z and the traction light stays on solid and doesn’t turn off, I noticed yours is doing the same thing... do you know why?

Mitch Cass that means you don’t have traction control lol. Mine was a drift car so I had to disable it

You might have to add brake fluid mine stayed on and it went off when I added brake fluid and bled my brakes

I got mine cut all the way to the cats. I've got the loudest in Charleston now😂. There's a lot of car clubs here got mustangs and Camaros pulling up on me and sht.i see a few 350z but noone seems to drive 370z here. Everyone acts like mustangs and chargers are dream cars lol. So when they see my 370z they think it's something foreign.

Is there only one muffler? A lot of cars have a mid muffler and a rear resonator.

My spool came undone and is now wrapped around itself so sometimes the wire will literally stop coming out... I need to take a welding class haha. and get a new spool.
