John Deere AR Rescue Attempt Fail

Attempting to rescue a 1950 John Deere AR but we failed. Winter got in the way. We will have to come back in a couple of months when it is warmer and there is more daylight. Also a close look at the operator's station and comparing the AR to a Model D.

The Brakes could still be froze on and wiggle but not allow it to move. Also pull the clutch out if you can it could be the transmission is froze or seezed up and if you trying to roll the motor with it it wont pull well.

Tear it down...rebuild it. I restored a 1951 AR. Took me 7 months. That one is in reasonable good shape.

No need to rebuild it. The engine was in very good shape and runs great now. Check out my other videos showing when I rebuilt the carburetor, got it started for the first time, fixed an issue with the clutch, and recently when we took it to plow day.

How long has that AR and that D been sitting?

We were at this same friends house about 5 years prior and the AR and the D were sitting in the same spots... So at least 5 years. If I had to guess, I'd say 8 to 10 years total.
