I got excited because I thought you were testing the custom LWB bike I got from you, delivered to me in March. Then of course realized mine is the Space Frame, this is not. Anyway since getting LWB, I have ridden it every day, and to my utter surprise, not ridden my other bikes. Going on trails is so much fun. I honestly think I prefer the 3” tires to 2.25 tires on my full suspension mountain bike. Bike is very stable over bumps, I get a feeling of security. And this says a lot coming from someone who will always be a skiddish beginner on any kind of rough trail. Amazingly, long rides on the road are equally mesmerizing. I loved the ride from the day the bike arrived. But I did eventually fiddle with the head tube spacers you provided to try different heights for the bars. Now that I am dialed into the best bar height and angle, all I can say is the comfort level and pure pleasure of riding this bike far exceeds anything I imagined. I am gearing up to travel on it. And the thought of 10 - 12 hours a day riding this bike represents pure heaven. Thanks a bunch for all your help in the process. I learned a ton. I still have to pinch myself each morning that I have a Jones LWB bike - best purchase I ever made.

Hey man, I just want to echo what a lot of people said here and I love watching you ride bikes. In another life I used to be a professional skater ( skateboarding). Watching you ride brings me back to what I would do when I was getting ready to go skate or hanging out at a convenience store making plans for the next spot. You've been in the saddle for a very long time and it shows your skills are dulling, a bit but that's probably due to physical decay not mental acuity. Ride on man. Thank you for reminding us that bikes are just bikes and meant for fun.

I’m still enjoying my Jones SWB on the back roads of North East Texas. Class of 1978 still great..

Always a joy to watch you ride. I know you are in the US but your area looks so much like where I grew up, North Yorkshire, UK. It's the green fields.

you would probably laugh at my bike, because it’s an old walmart genesis 29” aluminum 7 spd cruiser that i stripped down to bare aluminum and upgraded all of the components…b-17 brooks saddle, nice wheel set with 2.75 hookworms… but i love this bike mostly because of big strong frame with long wheelbase, with steel forks…i enlarged the chainring and ride it like a road bike…it’s so comfortable cruising at around 20 mph on my 25-30 mile daily rides…but can use it like a very comfortable cruiser too… i will spare you the negatives, because what you’ve built refined everything that is important to me…i’d love to especially have a pair of those bars… i don’t need or care for having any other, and i don’t get why more people don’t build such great all around bikes as you do….id love to test and see one in the flesh… great job brother!

Curious why you’ve stuck with a 27.2 seat tube with no internal routing rather than 30.9 or 31.6 to allow more options for droppers? I had one of the first steel spaceframes that I loved. It had a QR seat post binder that I used as a manual dropper. If I were buying a bike today, that would be a deal killer.

This bike just looks perfect, do you think it would last a lifetime under normal bike packing use? Just asking

Damn….woulda a made a GREAT commuter bike for me!! Very capable despite being “just a bike”. I thought the geese honking were your brakes. You really mash on your brakes too…the quietest disc brakes on the interwebs!!! Thanks.

You are the no1 argument for big tires, those trials skills show no rust either.
