It makes sense. If he goes 0-7 and sucks who cares. Is 4-13 really so much better than 2-15? If he wins some games and plays well we can find out if he can be a backup or even bridge QB with an undrafted contract. Lock had a bad camp (from reports) a bad preseason, and bad reps against Philly. It's not crazy to believe he played himself out of snaps. I'm happy they're not playing based on what they're paying. That's part of why they're here to begin with. Also. We're talking about DJ. It's a low bar. I would not be at all surprised if TD plays better. And no I also won't be surprised if he plays terribly.

The o-line has nothing to do with the fact he's a one-read QB that can't throw anything down field, can't throw with conviction, and limits the play calling because of his lack of ability. Joe Burrow went to the Super Bowl with a trash o-line. Barkley wouldn't be having the season he's having if he was on our team; we'd probably have the same record. It's finally over, thank God. I'd like Schoen and Dabs to get 2 more years to find out what they can do with "their" guy. They need that, because if they get their QB, then get fired in a year, that first year QB is doomed.
