Love Jonesy. He was a product of his environment but he's trying so hard to be a better human being... You really can't ask for more than that.

Jones is genuine enough to give $200 to a guy he respects yet stole from decades ago. Different individuals could have had a far more offended reaction to be offered a payout like this. Credit to Woody for the graciousness he exudes and the drum intros and fills on greats like 5 Years, Soul Love, and Starman. I don't think Bowie ever had a better drummer.

Bodyknowledge 77 Always makes me smile that Americans quite often call the album "Never Mind The Bullucks"! A Bullock is a male cow of course. The album is called "Never Mind The Bollocks....Here's The Sex Pistols". Bollocks is British slang for testicles and is used as a simile for "nonsense" or "crap". Roughly translated, the album's title is "Never Mind All The Nonsense / Crap......Here's The Sex Pistols".

Lets be honest, if any of us had the chance we would have done the same as Jonesy did. Who wouldn't want cymbals and an amp from the Spiders From Mars? Or a lipstick smeared mic from David Bowie? He wasn't turning the corner and selling it for $20 to the first person walking by. These were mementos from something special. He could never prove were he got them so he only had good equipment, no one would know who owned it previously. But it was nice of him to give Woody some cash for it. But that stuff was probably owned by the management company and was probably stuff that was stored in warehouses. They weren't the cymbals from the kit at his house, it was probably a band owned set, lol.

Do your research please; he's doing his Step 9: Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. And, believe me it's not easy: he will have done many of these over the years...it's a way of cleaning house; a spiritual step. He's done it online to hopefully inspire other adddicts that we can change and own our 'sick' behaviour. Jonesy has publicly admitted truly humiliating 'acting out' behavious such as being a 'peeping tom' ; & there is absolutely no virtue signalling about that! He's an honest man; courageously owning his self destructive and abusive behaviour to other. Respect to you Steve Jones!
