Actually no, they really didn't like his show at CBS but David Letterman owned the timeslot after his show, ao when Letterman retired Craig might have gone anyway

Thanks so much for this upload. I wonder whether this was the first time Craig met Steve Jones. We have to thank Steve for the later puppet cold opens as Craig was inspired to start them by hearing The Lonely Goatherd played on Jonesy's Jukebox.

Building off the Murder Inc. monologue joke, just a couple of weeks later, he did a joke about a guy getting arrested for having weed sent to him in the mail. The punchline was, "Police became suspicious when they saw that the package was addressed to 'Dude.'"
