Don't try to rush through things. This story is made to go MUCH slower than GTA 5. It stops you and forces you to wait at tolls on purpose so as to slow the pace down and if you drive very fast it is made so that it is almost impossible not to crash. Drive slow, pay attention to the road and GPS and enjoy the story. The majority of the game is driving too.

Jonesy you have to select which activity you want to do with a friend thats why Jacob didnt answer, Friends are different than Girlfriends in GTA 4. When you click on their name in your phone there should be options like "Drinking" "Eating" "Bowling" etc

Tip: Always use pistol while executing significant characters of this game. Like how you used it to kill Vlad. You'd get extra cutscene if you use a pistol.

Jonesy, both GTA 4 and GTA 5 are very different games and have their own specializations- GTA 5- Huge and beautiful map, robbery and heists, chemistry between the three protagonists. GTA 4- Amazing storyline, Deep life messages with amazing dialogues, The one and only NIKO BELLIC to whom everyone will be emotionally attached after the end of the game.

Remember, certain characters have execution posses and using the pistol is recommended, you missed Faustin's execution animation when you used the uzi instead of the pistol Also: Dimitri got away with it after sending Niko to kill Faustin, so he betray Niko and he built his own crime empire once Faustin was no longer in command

@45:34 Just as an FYI, you can take rides in taxis in order to get to your destinations a lot quicker if you want to. Just don't accidentally rob the cab. I think you have to hold down the button you usually use to rob cars to get into taxis as a passenger. You can also call for taxis to stop for you when you see them. I think it's one of the top buttons like L1, or something.

Not sure if you know this but you can use taxi to travel long distances. Just press LB to when you see taxi to whistle so it stops. When it stops hold Y to enter. When inside choose destination. After that you can press A to skip the trip. Thats this games version of fast travel.

Jonesy, you know as a matter of fact, GTA 4 is the only GTA game in the entire series which features wide variety of mafia organizations- from the russian mafia, to Irish Mafia and then Italian Mafia. You literally will get Godfather kinda feeling in the second half of the game.

Hey,just in case you don't know you can ride a taxi for a few bucks and pretty much quick travel to any major destination,saves you some travel time if you can't be bothered to drive long distances sometimes. You basically have to hold the enter vehicle button near a taxi to ride as a passenger

Using headlights is a useful gameplay feature, and a good incentive to keep from crashing. But crashing in gta 4 is fun!

Hi. When you find another armored truck transporting money on the street, don't abandon it. Try to destroy it either with an explosive or by hitting it against a wall until it catches fire. Once it explodes, it will spread a good amount of money that you can collect. be careful not to catch fire with the flames as there may be money near the burning truck.
