Jonathan - your videos, tactics and flies are outstanding. I fish primarily dry - here in New York - mainly the Beaverkill River and Upper Delaware in the Catskills and the Farmington and Housatonic Rivers in Connecticut. its always a pleasure watching your videos....which I've been doing for a few years now - and your tactics will work anywhere.

I used your soft hackle mayfly pattern with success on both the Monnow and Irfon last week, thanks for a great pattern. The new microphone has made your films much easier to hear the sound on. Keep up the good work!

what makes the dry fly stay on the surface?
@michaeltsu857 жыл бұрын
You can add a little bit of floatant, you can pick some up at the store. You just dab a little on the hackle and it helps it stay a float.

I didn't see any tactics except you missed the first fish coz you pulled too fast after that the reason you hooked anything was because the distance involved allowed a lag of time which let the fish to turn down.

Aren’t you suppose to count to 3 before setting the hook with a dry?People tell me no but I’d swear you should wait?
