what makes the dry fly stay on the surface?

You can add a little bit of floatant, you can pick some up at the store. You just dab a little on the hackle and it helps it stay a float.

i watch your videos everyday. they are superb and i wish i had streams like you guys. i live in south western pa in the states and there isn't anything like what you have. so i just watch you and dream of one day catching them like this.

I didn't see any tactics except you missed the first fish coz you pulled too fast after that the reason you hooked anything was because the distance involved allowed a lag of time which let the fish to turn down.

Aren’t you suppose to count to 3 before setting the hook with a dry?People tell me no but I’d swear you should wait?
