I have watched probably around 50 videos of yours. You do a fantastic job with the learn to play while playing videos, they are definitely some of my favorites! With this game I had started watching another video by another creator and didn’t even finish and wrote off the game. They just didn’t do a good job with showcasing the game and it looked crappy, lol. After watching this I am definitely getting this game!!

Seeing a lot of Lords of Waterdeep in this one. The placing of the cards is like the placing of buildings, marked by a player pawn to provide bonuses when someone else uses your building. There are 3 cube types instead of 4, and they are basically used to complete contracts (deal damage for points). Some spaces let you put a resource on another space to be collected when someone later uses it, which was introduced in the Scoundrels of Skullport expansion to Waterdeep. And the X-Jet reminds me of the Waterdeep Harbor, where those pawns are reused at the end of the round for additional actions. Obviously it's not a complete copy, but this game basically already exists.

For the Team Up card with grey damage and 3VP - do you get those VP as well as the VP from the grey damage line you cover or instead of the damage on the mission card? Thanks great video :)

I believe you get the VP just as if you'd done the damage normally.

Hi Jon, great video as always by you. You are always very informative and I love that you don't rush thru your explanations on how to pay or what you're doing. I apologize if I missed this in your video. I’m playing this game for first time. I’ve read the rule book twice and watched your video and another video, and I don't see this explained. 1) I’m trying to understand the Training Exercise Event card. When I play my hero pawn on the team up card as part of the action of the event card, do I immediately resolve that team up card? Or do I still have to wait until the mission phase to resolve it? If waiting until mission phase, what turn order would my pawn on that card go? I’m thinking last b/c it’s not on the x-jet. 2) The Ally cards. Some Ally cards like Synch and Pixie have a larger action space than say Banshee, Dazzler and Emma Frost cards. Does that mean cards like Synch and Pixie can hold more pawns on them? Or still only one pawn?

initially I was turned off due to how bland the board looked from the pics I've seen. but how quickly it fills up with various allies and teamups it has a lot more depth than I thought. added the game to my collection. one question I had was, what happens when you run out of markers due to placing them for damage, or placing them on bonus'? are you limited or do you find some kind of replacement?

@@JonGetsGames if anyone asks. I found it on the pdf rules pg 18: UNLIMITED TOKENS NOTE: Tokens and player discs are not limited. If you run out, use an acceptable substitute.

You will run out if you are playing a 2P game and one of you recruits a lot more allies/team-up cards than the other. I used some miniature beer cans that I found for another game project -- which made sense thematically as I was playing Wolverine.

I don't remember the game well enough to check this, but it is likely that I re-filmed a section and didn't fully reset.

Umm , this game says 60 - 90 minutes to play. We played the game right and took hours to finish with 2 players. Not sure how to speed it up. Good game, but not to play that long. Seemed like a long time to finish off the bosses.

Looks like the devs have put out an FAQ with some official variants to speed up the game, including using fewer villains, finishing after 8 rounds, or granting bonus resources at specified intervals.

@@branboom3342 Using those official parameter changes we were able to play a 2P game in less than 2 hours. Which is still a little longer than I'd like, but the game is so great that I don't mind.
