Joni didnt die young like so many great artists. She defied fate when she couldn't get to Woodstock. Can you defy fate? No, she changed her fate. Thank God she didnt get on the plane. She's real. I love her. She's worked for everything she has and more.

Thank you! I never knew David Sanborn did these interviews for ABC and I hadn't seen this one before. Thank you.

“How do you stop” loving Joni? You just don’t. Been following her since 1972🥰

You can't stop loving her. Even after her rather extremist stances on the wuhanlab-virus, I still love her! Her, and Aretha...

Great is an understatement. More like without peer. Sublime. Divine. My generation has been so fortunate for the 50+ years of Joni's artistry. Greetings to all Joni fans!

Much as I love Sanborn's sound... he ain't Wayne. Different feel, different language. I think Brian and Vinnie are the best drummers she's ever had.

Would have been nice if Mr Sanborn hadn't been reading his intro.

hivicar "Would have been nice if Mr Sanborn hadn't been reading his intro." Yeah, the guy's only one of the best sax players in the history of the instrument. But don't let that bother you. Find something mindless to pick on. I wonder how many people out there watched this not knowing that Sanborn isn't an interviewer, but one of the most influential musicians of the past 30 years.

It takes a heavyweight like Sanborn to earn the privilege of introducing Joni. That he read the intro, I can easily overlook. He knows she's a true to her art genius. Always been!
