For an artist as private and introspective as Joni, it was a very big deal that she allowed this gentleman into her studio to watch her paint. And it was fascinating and moving watching her create that painting.

To me, one of her all-time greatest was just around the corner. Chalk Mark is amazing from top to bottom. "Beat of Black Wings", "Lakota", "My Secret Place" - all hit-worthy, and overall the album is quite enjoyable!
