The best part of this is that she seems to be genuinely happy.

The ordeal she must have been through to re-learn to walk, talk, play her guitar, swim, paint, her rehab doctors said it must have taken steel grit and determination for her to "come back" after her stroke. But to enjoy the accolades and attention she's received in the last couple of years at Newport, at the Smithsonian and so forth must be tremendously rewarding and fulfilling for this 79 year old icon. I attribute a lot of it to her attitude. Look at that big smile. God bless this woman. Not only an incredible iconic artist of the highest caliber, but an example of the determination of courage and the human spirit. A great example for all of us, even beyond her creative artistry.

You know back in 1990 at the society of singers night to honour Frank Sinatra, the great George Burns at the age of 94 sung this song for Frank. He said something I’ll never forget in the instrumental, “you can’t help getting older but it doesn’t mean you have to get old”. I think that applies to Joni, with this beautiful cover. Best
