It’s such an under-utilized colour, it’s really a beautiful gold that artists should use more often😉

Joni you brought back a memory of my dad with your story about how you became ambidextrous. He was also left handed but way back in his time (he was born in 1932) if kids were left handed they were forced to write with their right hand when they got into school. I guess the belief was the world is made for right handed people so making them switch was considered a mercy.

I have always been a fan of Josephine Wall and had no clue where to start with fantasy painting until surfing you tube and there you were! I love your work and could watch your videos all day....I am so excited to give it a try....My grand daughter loves mermaids..I'm pretty good at their bodies but not good at faces...do you have a video of mermaids? That that you broke your wrist when you're little and now you use both hands I did the same thing when I was little I fell off a tree house and broke my hand arm my wrist my dad was really mad but that we got that in common I love your tutorial it's really cool thank you for sharing that

My son, who is left handed, broke his arm skate boarding to work last March and he's an artist too.. He found out he can draw better with his right hand when that happened and still draws with his right to this day.. Lol.. Gorgeous work again, Joni!! 💖 (I really need a stair case with sun beams these days... Lol) Edit : I call them mop brushes too because of Bob!

I come to your page when I want to paint but don't know what I want to do. I love ethereal, fantasy paintings with super bright colors and your work encompasses those. i love the yellow ochre i never thought of using it for the underpainting..
