I love when you give us the underlying chords. It's a great teaching tool, and I enjoy playing them into my looper, then soloing and improvising over them. It gives me a lot more to take away from the lesson than just the intro solo as you teach it.

When you dissect these epic songs you give me confidence I can do this with practice. Santana is one of my all time favorite guitarist. So you must be also one of my favorite players.

Awesome lesson Jon! Just FYI for everyone, the very last phrase is going to be using the fourth fret on the third string, not the third fret, as well as the sixth fret of the fourth string, not the fifth fret.

I was searching for the solo and you came up for this song. As was already said, appreciate you showing the rhythm as well. I actually was playing an e major instead of the e7 before I saw this and seeing you play it reminded me of that chord I rarely use.

Would be even easier to learn with a drum beat behind these syncopated chords , i.e. the chords are played on and off-beat, playing against the on/off beat solo notes. We're not as advanced as you. I'm having to count to work out where the rests and notes are placed. Or, you could count the length of the rests in the phrases for us. Yes, I can work it out but it's so much quicker when the tutor shows you. P.S. you're a fine player and I often refer to your tutorials for help.
