"Make it work for you" - EXACTLY. Be pragmatic in creative endeavors. I can't play the keys either but love synth. Or I love guitar but I get frustrated learning to tap. So, I focus on other skills, throw the rest out and have fun. Even within your limits, there's a LOT you can do to produce something - it's more about feel in the end, anyway.

I like watching people sample and be comfortable using the sample as they hear it rather than focusing so much on the sample being unrecognizable. I make music for myself and I'm happy with the results and not worrying about who's not listening or I have to put it out
@zada2423 Жыл бұрын
I meannn, it depends on the producer. I can have an og sample for 70% the process and it just changes with the progression of the beat. Any time I “try” to change the sample it doesn’t go well, I’d say it’s all about flow and feel

I made beats for years. At one point I was super intense about "making it". Ended up feeling totally burned out and lost my love for it. There's a little flame still alive inside me and videos like this tempt me to get back into it. Btw, the beat you produced for BoySand that he used for America, the Beautiful is one of my favourites.
