The 'pre-English' videoblog is precious and valuable to me if only to hear your beautifully (and clear) spoken Swedish. I took Swedish for 3 years at UC Berkeley in California when I was in school there - all of my family are Swedish speaking (now Swedish and Finnish speaking - we are Finn-Swedes from Österbotten, Finland). My kids and I are the final American branch of the family left here in the USA. I have not been back to Finland or Sweden in about 25 years. Listening to your high-Swedish is a treat - thank you! The same thing happened to my dog's nail! We called the vet because it wouldn't stop bleeding, even after we bandaged it, and she shared a tip with us: You can take flour and push it into the broken nail, and it stops the bleeding! It worked perfectly!

Wow, Swedish feels like a heart language. It feels like I understand what's being said, by the tone of voice, the pause, the cadence... as if I understand what they're going through in my heart. Just a piece of advice, if an animal or bird has a slight bleeding problem, like a toe nail, or a bird’s blood feather you can use a pinch of ground black pepper held on the spot for a couple minutes makes the bleeding stop. It’s not toxic and really works.
