Otis will love that room when he’s a teenager- having space like that to himself is every kids dream. Far enough away from mum and dad, and you won’t have to worry about how messy it is.

I highly doubt this room will still be around that much longer. Jono will eventually "accidentally" knock it down.

@@waterbitten haha - I agree - Jono was definitely not a fan of that room and seemed to be grumpier than usual. Then again a new born baby usually means you’re not getting a lot of sleep so that might be clouding the issue. Time will tell

Girl you are looking so trim for someone who's not long given birth, life is good! Love Jonno grumping in the background, isn't he just every husband ever when there's diy to do he doesn't want to do?! Great job guys, room is looking fab even if it's not going to stay there for long😉😁

"I would've just thrown it on the fire pile". Classic. It generally takes around 5 ikea purchases to realise you either can't move it once assembled, it's missing parts or its sh*t quality. Onya Jonno! Speaking of which, ikea trip next weekend for some decor and bath mats!! 😅

Your channel is so entertainment and also funny, love you both. A question, Why you don't place the sofa against the fence? You will gain a lot of space and the area rug will fit perfectly and the chair will running with out any obstacles also the space will be better for practice yoga an relaxation. Think about the idea.
@Huntingforgeorge

that's a good option but it would block a lot of light down to the lower lever (and also opening it up allows me to have greenery against the fence which looks great from downstairs). Will have to show more context soon

The whole time you were dragging around the sofa and mat, I was thinking "A kelpie won't get up those stairs, will he? And Otis won't be able to for at least a year, so it can be a Lucy heaven!" Seriously though, perhaps of all the renno rooms you've ever done, this one is the most realistic for a lot of people, especially renters. Maybe add a mini floor fan/circulator thingo? Like a fan but it can tilt up and down as well as go sideways. You can tilt it to move the warm air to make the ceiling fan even more effective, no matter the season. The small ones can be tucked away in a corner out of sight. (Or at least the ones in Japan can. Gets both hot and humid here.)

It was definitely a fun quick fix and you're right, great for renters. We're working on better ventilation for the home, and hopefully that helps with the heat!
